1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, device identifiers and other methods that store information on, or gain access to information from, a device. Some expire when the browser closes; others last longer.

The supplied Cartonnex public theme does not set advertising, analytics or preference cookies and does not use local storage or session storage. The enquiry form’s security nonce and one-minute rate limit are handled on the server and do not require a cookie on an ordinary visitor’s device.

2. Current cookie and technology audit

Plugins, hosting controls or services added after installation can change this position. The live website must be scanned and this table updated before launch and after material configuration changes.

3. Optional Google Map

The Contact page initially shows a privacy notice and the written address, not a third-party frame. Choosing “Load interactive map” is a positive request to connect to Google for that map during the current page visit. Cartonnex does not store that choice, so the map returns to its blocked state after the page is reloaded.

When loaded, Google receives technical connection information such as the IP address and browser or device details and may store or access information on the device. Google controls that processing. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and cookie information before choosing the map if you want more detail. You can instead use the written address or open the external link when you decide to visit Google Maps.

4. Your controls

You can decline the optional map by leaving it unloaded. Most browsers also let you view, delete or block cookies, limit third-party storage and clear site data. Blocking all cookies can affect WordPress login, security or other essential features, although the public catalogue and contact information should remain readable.

If optional analytics, marketing or other non-essential storage is added later, it must remain inactive until a valid choice is obtained where the law requires consent. Refusing must not be harder than accepting, and withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.

5. Changes and contact

We review the site’s storage and access technologies when plugins, providers or features change and update this policy when the position changes materially.
